Artee Industries Limited, the licence holder for SPAR in Nigeria, has opened a new hypermarket at Novare Central Mall in the Wuse district of Abuja.
The new outlet spans 3,221 square metres and stocks more than 10,000 stock-keeping units (SKUs), covering groceries, electronics, personal care products, fresh foods, and household essentials.
The store features a full-service bakery, fresh produce section, meat counter, frozen foods, wines and spirits, and ready-to-eat meals. Departments including Wines & Spirits, Fruits & Vegetables, and Health & Beauty attracted significant customer attention during the launch.
According to the company, the store layout includes structured aisles, modern fixtures, strategic lighting, and clear signage to improve customer navigation and shopping experience.
The hypermarket is supported by about 150 staff members responsible for operations, customer service, and inventory management.
SPAR’s licence in Nigeria was granted to Artee Industries in 2009. Since then, the company has expanded its retail network through new store openings and conversions to the SPAR format.
The company stated that the expansion supports local suppliers by integrating products into its organised retail distribution network, strengthening supply chains and promoting market growth.
The new Abuja outlet is positioned to serve residents and professionals in the Wuse area, leveraging its location within Novare Central Mall for accessibility.
