Maltina has launched a nationwide Nourishment Tour aimed at reaching one million students across Nigeria as part of activities marking the brand’s 50th anniversary.

The first phase of the initiative began with visits to schools in Lagos, while subsequent phases will extend to other parts of the country.

The programme was developed in partnership with STEM Africa Fest and focuses on demonstrating the role of proper nutrition in supporting students’ learning and development.

The initiative includes hands-on science experiments designed to show how nutrition contributes to children’s energy levels, creativity and overall growth.

Students participating in the programme are also provided with Maltina beverages available in 25cl and 50cl PET bottles.

The second phase of the tour began on March 9 at Government Comprehensive Junior College in Agege, Ikeja Senior Grammar School in Oshodi, Surulere Junior Secondary School, and United Missionary Comprehensive College in Ibadan.

Media personality Oluwabukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, popularly known as Kiekie and an ambassador for the brand, joined the tour during the visit to the Ibadan school.

During the sessions, students participated in experiments demonstrating how nutrients from food and beverages are absorbed and used by the body.

Portfolio Manager for Non-Alcoholic Drinks at Nigerian Breweries Plc, Elohor Olumide-Awe, said the initiative is part of the brand’s anniversary activities and aims to strengthen engagement with schools and communities.

“The Maltina Nourishment Tour is part of Maltina’s 50th anniversary initiatives and aims to help students understand the relationship between nourishment and learning,” she said.

She added that the programme is designed to encourage interest in science while promoting nutrition awareness among students across the country.
