In a strategic move to enhance financial services across Nigeria, OPay has officially opened a renovated office in Ibadan. The new facility is the first under the company’s nationwide branch upgrade initiative and is designed to provide seamless support for merchants, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), corporate clients, and individual users in Oyo State.

The Ibadan branch will function as a central hub for customer support, merchant engagement, and product demonstrations, reflecting OPay’s commitment to combining digital convenience with reliable in-person services. With 28 offices across 25 states, the company plans to roll out similar upgrades nationwide over the next year.

Elizabeth Wang, OPay’s Chief Commercial Officer, noted that while most transactions occur online, many Nigerians still prefer direct branch interactions for specific services. The upgraded office aims to meet this demand while ensuring consistent, secure, and customer-focused service.

The expansion aligns with OPay’s broader mission of promoting financial inclusion, with features like Face ID security and enhanced fraud protection reinforcing the company’s dedication to safe and accessible financial solutions.
