Pinnacle Oil and Gas Limited has appointed seasoned communications strategist, Ejiro Obodo, as its new Corporate Communications Manager.
Obodo is widely recognised for his award-winning contributions to journalism, public relations, and strategic communications. With more than 15 years of professional experience, he has built a track record of leading high-impact communications initiatives across the media, education, energy, and logistics sectors.
He began his career at BusinessDay Media, where as Online Editor, he helped drive the publication’s digital growth. He later took on senior roles at Caritas Communications, Zenera Consulting, and NewGlobe, where he rose to Communications Director. At NewGlobe, he played a central role in government-backed education reform programmes, including EdoBEST and BayelsaPRIME, while also supporting KwaraLEARN. The EdoBEST programme—backed by a $75 million World Bank facility is today celebrated as a global model for large-scale literacy and numeracy improvement.
In addition to his work in education, Obodo has advised leading multinationals in the energy and logistics industries such as TotalEnergies, Seplat Plc, ExxonMobil, Lekoil, Pan Ocean Oil Corporation, IPPG, New Cross, Niger Star 7, and Topaz Marine. Among his many assignments, he directed the communications strategy for TotalEnergies’ $16 billion Egina Floating Production Storage and Offloading project, one of the most ambitious oil and gas projects in Africa.
His outstanding achievements in journalism, corporate communications, and public affairs have earned him multiple industry awards and recognition.
At Pinnacle Oil and Gas, Obodo will oversee corporate communications, brand positioning, and stakeholder relations, with a mandate to strengthen the company’s reputation as Nigeria’s foremost petroleum products marketing and logistics provider.
