Heirs Energies, Africa’s leading indigenous-owned integrated energy company, has reinforced its commitment to advancing the continent’s energy future through active participation in two major industry gatherings, the U.S. Africa Energy Forum in Houston, Texas, and the Namibia International Oil & Gas Conference 2025.
At the Houston forum, Chief Executive Officer, Osa Igiehon, joined global energy executives and policymakers in high-level discussions on the future of U.S.–Africa partnerships. He underscored the importance of Africa taking ownership of its energy agenda by leveraging both hydrocarbons and renewable resources.
“Africa must shape its own energy destiny by responsibly deploying its abundant resources,” Igiehon said. “At Heirs Energies, our mission is to deliver energy sufficiency for millions while ensuring that sustainability, innovation, and local talent development remain central to our operations.”
Following its U.S. engagement, the company extended its outreach to southern Africa with strong representation at the Namibia International Oil & Gas Conference, where Igiehon featured in a panel session alongside international and regional operators. Discussions focused on building inclusive, responsible, and sustainable energy industries across Africa.
Commenting on Namibia’s prospects, Igiehon described the visit as “the start of a long-term partnership,” adding that Heirs Energies is committed to contributing meaningfully to the country’s evolving energy landscape.
The company’s engagements highlight its growing role as not just a Nigerian operator but a pan-African energy player dedicated to delivering solutions that balance profitability with societal impact.
Both forums also reflected the company’s guiding philosophy of Africapitalism, championed by its Founder and Group Chairman, Tony O. Elumelu, CFR. The principle asserts that Africa’s private sector must drive development by investing in strategic sectors that generate both economic growth and social progress.
With a strong focus on innovation, environmental stewardship, and community empowerment, Heirs Energies continues to consolidate its leadership in Africa’s energy transition while aligning with global sustainability standards.
