Rainoil Gas Limited has taken another step in its mission to expand clean energy access with the launch of a new Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) plant in Ore, a key town in Ondo State.

The newly commissioned plant, situated along the Ore-Okitipupa axis, is designed to make cooking gas more accessible and affordable for residents in the area, cutting down on the need to travel long distances for refills. The move aligns with national efforts to drive clean energy adoption and reduce reliance on traditional fuels like firewood.

During the unveiling ceremony, the Managing Director of Rainoil Gas, Mr. Emmanuel Omuojine, emphasized the strategic importance of the location, saying the plant is part of a broader plan to decentralize gas supply across Nigeria.

“Our vision is to bring clean, safe energy closer to the people. With this new facility, we aim to make gas an everyday reality for households in Ore and nearby towns. Accessibility is the first step toward changing how we cook and live,” Omuojine said.

He highlighted the company’s rapid growth since 2020, pointing to an 8,000-metric-tonne storage capacity in Lagos and a fleet of 42 delivery trucks as key assets driving its distribution network nationwide.

Local government officials welcomed the project with enthusiasm. Taiwo Adegoroye, Chairman of Odigbo Local Government Area, commended Rainoil for investing in the region and supporting both economic growth and environmental sustainability.

“This development will uplift living standards and encourage a shift away from harmful cooking practices like firewood burning, which damage the environment and pose health risks,” Adegoroye stated.

He encouraged the local population to embrace LPG use, underscoring the plant’s potential to become a major energy hub for communities such as Okitipupa and beyond.

Rainoil noted that the Ore facility is just one part of a larger initiative to promote clean energy alternatives across Nigeria. With this latest expansion, the company continues to position itself as a leader in delivering reliable, safe, and accessible energy solutions to millions of Nigerians.
