Mouka, a leading mattress brand, has teamed up with the Lagos Food Bank to support vulnerable children through a significant initiative. This collaboration is part of the Nutritious Meal Intervention for Vulnerable Mothers and Children programme, spearheaded by the Lagos Food Bank. The initiative focuses on combating malnutrition and hunger among pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and their infants, ensuring they receive essential nutrients during these critical stages.

The Lagos Food Bank, a non-profit organisation, aims to enhance the nutritional intake of pregnant women and their babies, ensuring that even the most vulnerable have access to the nourishment they need. Mouka’s Senior Brand and Innovation Manager, Yemisi Obadina, highlighted the company’s commitment to the health and comfort of Nigerians.

“This partnership reflects our belief that a child’s wellbeing is greatly impacted by quality nutrition and restful sleep—areas where Mouka can truly make a difference,” Obadina stated.

As part of its contributions to society in 2024, Mouka donated 50 Dreamtime mattresses featuring water-resistant and breathable covers, specifically designed for children. Additionally, the company has supported female entrepreneurs through business grants in collaboration with Herconomy and has partnered with state governments to generously donate to the first babies born in public hospitals nationwide.
