Schneider Electric, a global leader in the digital Transformation of energy management and automation, will on Tuesday launch its new micro grid solution, villaya Flex, at the Alliance for Rural Electrification Energy Access Investment Forum 2024.
According to Schneider Electric in a release, Villaya Flex is a packaged microgrid solution designed to maximise clean energy use while reducing pollution from traditional genset systems.
It noted that the solution was tailored for communities seeking decarbonised and independent electricity, addressing current energy challenges with advanced technology.
The firm said the product was notable for its ease of sizing, ordering, installation, operation, and maintenance, and it offered scalable battery storage capabilities.
According to Schneider Electric, the key components of Villaya Flex include an all-in-one hybrid power conversion unit with 50/100 kVA bidirectional hybrid power conversion, battery storage for onsite energy capture, an energy control center to manage multiple energy sources, and an advanced digital monitoring platform.
It added that the platform featured EcoStruxure Microgrid Advisor for energy production management, EcoStruxure Energy Access Expert for demand-side management, and EcoStruxure Microgrid Build for system design simplification.
“Villaya Flex is a renewable energy solution that provides energy access as a more sustainable and affordable option for off-grid communities.
“This solution is designed for off-grid communities and remote villages facing energy shortages, limited access to electricity, and high fuel costs,” the SVP Microgrid Line of Business at Schneider Electric,Bala Vinayagam, said.
With it, Schneider expands its portfolio of products and solutions that aim to help reach the UN’s 2030 target of universal access to energy.
The Global VP of Access to Energy at Schneider Electric,Albert Fuchet, said, “At this event, Schneider Electricishereto engage in advancing investments for renewable electrification, sustainable electricity access, climate action, and also deliver a speech on energy skills challenges.
